Prelim evaluation

These questions are to guide you and hopefully you will see what you need to work at, how long each step takes and how you will apply this learning when planning your NEA. Add Prelim and Reflection labels.

1) How did you plan your sequence? What processes did you use?

2) What technology did you use to complete the task, and how did you use it? What new effects/programmes did you learn?

3) What factors did you have to take into account when planning, shooting and editing?

4) How successful was your music video/magazine/tv copy? Please identify what worked well, and with hindsight, what would you improve/do differently? What did others say about your production?

5) What have you learnt from completing this task? Looking ahead, how will this learning be significant when completing your music video/mag/tv doc, do you think?

6) What areas of NEA production are your strengths and weaknesses ? What will you practise over the summer to improve?

7) Looking at the other productions on their blogs, which do you think were most successful and why?

8) What have you learnt that you will be able to take with you for your NEA planning and production?

Intro to premiere

Once you have exported your production and uploaded it onto answer the following questions and add the label reflection to it.

What was the task you were assigned?

What programme did you use to complete your task?

What tools/effects did you learn to use from your programme to create your task ie font websites, crop, colour changes etc?

What were the biggest obstacles to completing your task?

This is now your working area with timeline where you place your footage and sound. First you need footage and sound so go to:

·         File – Import – Pupil documents – Shared – footage and sound

·         Open up each folder and import each of the files. You will then see them added on the bottom left of your working page

·         Import city scapes, animals and James Bond.

·         Import sound files too.

·         Drag an animal video to your timeline – you will now see V (video) and A (audio) channels

·         There are two basic tools you will use a lot on the left of your timeline - the selection tool and the razor tool. Practise now by chopping up the video you have dragged across. Then grab a clip with your selection tool and move the shots around.

·         Add some music and play around with the effects

·         On the same timeline add some cityscapes and James Bond footage to create more of a narrative.

ENJOY EDITING!
