End of half term assessment

Hi 12s

I got used to the idea that someone would always be there to co-teach during my isolation. As we can't predict if someone will be there tomorrow, I'll move the end of half term assessment to Friday so that Mrs Field can run it. In the meanwhile please revise the following and email us with any questions:

  • You will be given an unseen media text about three minutes long and you will watch it three times and take notes like we've done analysing camera, mise en scene, editing and sound. Then you will be writing a paragraph using these technical codes in a what, how and why style and linking it with a representation we will give you.
  • You will also be asked to analyse an unseen print media text using CLIFT and discuss its various meanings.
  • Finally you will be asked to show your knowledge of two theorists that we've covered. One is below and you will apply them to the industries that you have been researching.
That's a generous heads up as I feel bad for my absence. Good luck.

Intro to premiere

Once you have exported your production and uploaded it onto answer the following questions and add the label reflection to it.

What was the task you were assigned?

What programme did you use to complete your task?

What tools/effects did you learn to use from your programme to create your task ie font websites, crop, colour changes etc?

What were the biggest obstacles to completing your task?

This is now your working area with timeline where you place your footage and sound. First you need footage and sound so go to:

·         File – Import – Pupil documents – Shared – footage and sound

·         Open up each folder and import each of the files. You will then see them added on the bottom left of your working page

·         Import city scapes, animals and James Bond.

·         Import sound files too.

·         Drag an animal video to your timeline – you will now see V (video) and A (audio) channels

·         There are two basic tools you will use a lot on the left of your timeline - the selection tool and the razor tool. Practise now by chopping up the video you have dragged across. Then grab a clip with your selection tool and move the shots around.

·         Add some music and play around with the effects

·         On the same timeline add some cityscapes and James Bond footage to create more of a narrative.

ENJOY EDITING!
